As a lifelong animal lover I began my experience in 1990 volunteering with the Junior Humane Society in Pensacola, Fl.
I started my professional grooming career in 1996 bathing at “Jolettes Pet Parlor” were they offered retail, boarding, schooling, pet & show grooming as well as raising & showing Standard Poodles. Yes I did corded poodles too!
Once the owners sold in 2005 I started grooming for “Olive Road Pet Salon” in addition to opening my own in home mobile pet grooming business “Michelle’s Pet Grooming” that quickly grew into a 2 person show & was renamed “Purrty Pups Mobile Pet Parlor”. In 2006 I had to leave Olive Road due to my own businesses demand & built my 1st mobile grooming trailer.
In 2009 I married my husband Bill McWatters & we built a grooming shuttle bus. We sold “Purrty Pups” in 2010 so my family could move to beautiful San Marcos, Tx, I miss FL but LOVE Texas!!!
From 2010 - 2014 Beyond Grooming offered mobile service. Do to the demand of our stationary service we opened a shop located in the Earth's Angels Pet Store. I'm excited for this opportunity to offer convenient hours and give others the opportunity to join our team in building the best grooming salon in central Texas! Thanks to everyone that has helped me move closer to my dream of opening a grooming school!
I always love working with new groomers and attend seminars every year to expand my knowledge. As one of your pet’s caretakers, it is my duty to stay up to date with the industry. Grooming is more than cutting pet hair, it is a passion for the love of animals & the art of beautifying them. This is why I call my business “Beyond Grooming”
Ashley Kilroy- Groomer & Assistant Manager
I was blessed to have Ashley move to San Marcos and join me in January 2014, she has become my right hand lady in growing Beyond Grooming into what it is today. While working in a vet clinic she went to college and became a vet tech in 2001. Her assistance in several vet clinics has given her a wide range of experiences. She also assisted another groomer that stole her from the vet..lol Her natural gift to work with animals has kept her in the industry for over 15 years. Her love of animals, exceptional handling skills & passion for the art makes her one of the best groomers in the area!
Pet Shuttle / Pickup and Delivery Service
If pre-arranged we can do nails and quick trims in your home. For full service grooming we pick up in the morning and return in the afternoon. Fees are $5 for the first mile and $2 each additional mile per trip.
